Created for a vibrant family of four, this transformed home is a testament to how thoughtful design can beautifully shape everyday living. We reimagined the space to feel open, light-filled, and full of possibility - featuring a custom kitchen that’s truly the heart of the home, a hardworking mudroom designed for life in motion, and a quiet office retreat for focus and creativity.

Rooted in Craft, Alive with Character

At the heart of this home, the kitchen was thoughtfully reimagined to feel open, warm, and deeply personal; it’s a space where everyday life unfolds with ease and beauty. Designed for a busy family of four, the custom island was crafted at a taller, ergonomic height to support comfort and connection, whether prepping meals or helping with homework. Rich navy accents ground the space, offering contrast to a playful collection of colourful ceramics that speak to the family’s unique style. A vaulted ceiling invites light and air to flow freely, while natural barnboard details bring in warmth, texture, and a sense of story.

Powder Room & Mudroom

Designed for the Details, Made for the Messy Moments

With the home's new addition, we reshaped the entry from the garage to create a welcoming and highly functional mudroom – a true drop zone designed for real family life. Durable tile flooring, custom bench seating, and overhead storage work together to keep the space organized, effortless, and easy to maintain, no matter the season. Just steps away, the powder room offered a playful moment to lean into bold design. Drawing inspiration from the 1970s, we paired colourful wainscotting with patterned wallpaper for a space that feels both unexpected and full of personality, a reminder that utility and creativity can, and should, coexist.

Living Room

Class Meets Comfort

A rear addition and expansive 12' patio door invite seamless flow between indoors and out, making space not just for entertaining, but for memories made in the in-between moments: morning coffee with sunlight streaming in, doors thrown open on warm evenings, kids running in from the yard. This renovation reflects more than smart planning and elevated functionality, it reflects the life it was built for. Like every project at CLAY, it was shaped with intention, integrity, and a deep respect for the people who call it home.
