Gerry - better known around CLAY as “Slats” - brings decades of experience in education, coaching and leadership development to his role as Director, People & Culture.
After initially working with CLAY as a consultant, Gerry’s role grew as he became increasingly involved in employee coaching, leadership development, apprenticeship and mentorship programs, and company-wide training.
Today, his focus is simple: helping our people grow. From supporting emerging leaders and developing skilled tradespeople to strengthening communication and creating meaningful learning opportunities, Gerry helps ensure our team has the tools, guidance and support to become excellent at what they do.
His background includes senior leadership roles in adult education as well as more than a decade coaching rugby at Western University - experience that has shaped his practical, people-focused approach to development and accountability.
