What began as a ceiling repair in an 1890s farmhouse evolved into a full kitchen renovation. By reconfiguring an inefficient layout, we created a functional environment tailored for modern living and entertaining.
Key features include cabinetry extended to the ceiling for maximum storage and a custom peninsula with a circular walnut top, adding warmth and a natural gathering point. We implemented a layered lighting plan—combining recessed, under-cabinet, and statement fixtures—to brighten the workspace.
Material selections remain timeless, blending modern finishes with wood accents to honour the home’s history. The result is a bright, intuitive kitchen that balances period craftsmanship with contemporary utility.
